My Top 10 Emmy 2017 Looks

I am a sucker for a red carpet- I just love them! I love the style, the glamour, and the surprises. Its like watching your favourite celebs going to the Debs. The 69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards took place only a few days ago in Los Angeles, and I've gathered my TOP 10 favourite looks from the evening, so in no particular order..

1: ERIN LIM

Erin Lim, host of E! News' The Rundown is first on my list and my best dressed pick from the evening. I absolutely love this sheer dress, its sexy, stylish but also modest and doesn't just have tiny pieces of fabric thrown in to barely cover her bits! I think it all ties in together lovely, with the lace and beaded embellishments just totally stealing the show. I also like how her makeup has been kept minimal and natural, quite like her accessorizing, giving the dress the chance to speak for itself.

2: Yara Shahidi

The Black-ish actress stunned in Prada on the red carpet! This gown is giving me all the goddess vibes. Its natural toned tulle matched with a gold woven belt propose a very earthy vibe. Very simple and minimal accessorizing is required again with this gown as the metallic embellishments steal the show.

3: Shailene Woodley

I think this colour is so fab on actress Shailene Woodley! This deep green just compliments her eyes so nicely. The simplicity of this entire look is what makes it stand out so much I think, it is so effortless and just plain beautiful! This pleated and velvet Ralph Lauren number has the most unexpected string back which adds some fun to a simple dress like this. Finally, the leather straps bring that bit of cool edginess to the dress that Shailene Woodley is all about.

4: Anna Faris

Anna Faris is a vision in this custom Marc Jacobs, showing us just how big embellishment is this season! Even though this is the third dress in this list with embellishment, each dress has owned it in a different way. This colour is gorgeous with Anna's hair and the positioning of the embellishment shows off her waistline in a subtle way.

5: Zoe Kravitz

Dior Couture. Need I say much more? Zoe Kravitz is the definition of funky and cool and she did not disappoint. This floor length Dior gown is covered in feathers and the rainbow colour skirt is just amazing. There really isn't much I can say about this dress, that it can't say for itself, other than just take a second to look at the pictures and appreciate this dress because it is one of a kind!

6: Jane Fonda

This woman is almost 80!! OH MY GOD, what an absolute queen! She looks fierce in this Brandon Maxwell gown. Everything about this look is so elegant but so glam. The bling from those statement earrings and glittery bag is just perfect to break up all the pink. That sassy ponytail and full fringe is also perfect for showing off the dress, while also breaking up the pink too as its such a vibrant colour without the right styling it could be very overpowering. Jane Fonda - Queen of Attitude.

7: Donald Glover

8: Margaret Antwood

This 77 year old author gave everyone a run for their money. Teaming this simple black dress with a bright vibrant red was a great way to bring her look alive and a subtle nod to the costumes in her novel turned tv series The Handmaid's Tale. The flower pattern on her collar is a very sweet design breaking up the plainness and simplicity of this look. Not a usual fan of the spotlight, Atwood made a special appearance at the Emmys and she sure did shine during her time in the spotlight.

9: Sarah Hyland

Another favourite of mine is Sarah Hyland. I just adore her and her style! After recently going public with her health problems which have made it a very tough year for the star, she was the life of the red carpet in this Zac Posen cutout gown. Following a funny spanx mishap Sarah just laughed things off and continued to own the red carpet in this floral gown. This colour suits her natural colour palette of brown hair and green eyes. Again, keeping accessories to a minimum with this dress was a must and those big jewel earrings are to die for! Simplicity is key when it comes to the red carpet.

10: Emmy Rossum

Emmy at the Emmys! Now, I wouldn't normally be a fan of wearing just a black dress to a red carpet, its too safe. This Zac Posen gown however is a different story. I love it! Emmy was the poster girl for Hollywood glam in this gown; a strapless, figure complimenting, sparkling and detailed gown. There was even Hollywood glam curls in her hair! Emerald jewellery was the perfect finishing touch for this gown, adding colour and bling but inkeeping with the dark elements of the gown. Emmy was a vision of elegance.

There you have it - My Top 10 Emmy Looks. I'm going to leave you with one last honorary best dressed of the evening, because it'd be a crime not to include him! Actor Jermey Maguire (6 yrs old!!) from Modern Family who wore the cutest little cape to match his bow tie. The cuteness of him is just too much!

Adorable!
